Boston Events and Planning New Projects
Big day in Boston! Talking to Ron Whitfield's business class at Northeastern University at one. Then meeting with Angha from Barakat (where my wonderful daughter Sarah interned last summer) about a new project for girl's education in Pakistan in honor of Malala Yousafzai (using our fair trade soccer balls). Then dinner with my wonderful daughter Aliya who is at Berklee College of Music. Then home to my wonderful wife Annette. What a wonderful world!
At the same time, we are really aware of the devastation caused by Sandy and are putting together a project called A Friend in Need, where any of our customers can send a free pound of coffee to someone they know who has suffered damage from the storm. Last time we did that (for folks who lost their jobs in the recession) we sent out over a thousand pounds of free coffee to individuals. We know we need to share our blessings. Dean
